This line addresses the neurobiological processes of brain aging, exploring physiotherapy strategies that promote neuroplasticity, cognitive stimulation, and functionality in older adults, with an emphasis on preventing decline and promoting autonomy.

This line analyzes the role of physiotherapy across different levels of mental health care, highlighting its impact on emotional regulation, psychomotor rehabilitation, and therapeutic support in community, hospital, and outpatient settings.

Building on advances in neuroscience, this line delves into the understanding of central and peripheral pain mechanisms, their relationship with affective states, and their modulation through evidence-based physiotherapeutic interventions, especially in cases of chronic pain and somatization.

This line focuses on the design and implementation of inclusive physiotherapeutic strategies for neurodivergent individuals, considering conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental variations. It integrates sensorimotor, psychocorporal, and emotional regulation approaches that promote social participation and overall well-being.

This line is intended to welcome innovative, interdisciplinary works that, although they may not fully align with the main thematic lines, significantly contribute to advancing knowledge in physiotherapy in mental health. It includes research exploring new methodologies, theoretical approaches, clinical applications, or emerging contexts that expand the understanding of the role of movement, the body, and rehabilitation in mental health.
